#1 Cross Platform Email App

Expectations

We were aimed to take the MVP of our client to the next level and help to improve the user experience what will allow our client to raise a next round of investments

Business Challenge

Project was very unique in terms of communication. Product Manager & CEO of Bluemail took ultimate art direction & ignored our recommendation. So, according to our policy “who pays the piper calls the tune”, we have created exactly what they wanted

Our Impact

Through our partnership, we played a pivotal role in Bluemail's journey to become the #1 cross-platform email application. With over 10 million active users, we optimized the user experience, resulting in a significant reduction in click rates. Additionally, we implemented innovative features, including video calls, enhancing the functionality of the app. Our collaboration has propelled Bluemail to the forefront of the industry, solidifying its position as the go-to email application for millions of users

Process

We have built a strategy of developing the products after the first meetings. Such approach gives our clients understanding of the next steps and approximate estimations

Brand Assets

UX Research

Any UX information has a value and can create a competitive advantage. That is why, in respect of confidential information, time, client's investments and efforts that were made, we are not eligible to show a full spectrum of researches, but we will share some light version of 1-2 UX researches to show you that we are aware how to work with it

Video Call Screen

Our journey started from challenging request that was sounded - “We want fully copy “Zoom” app, including full UX, but it is should not look like a “Zoom” app

Modals

Video call screen includes a lot of different features like video stream, sound stream, layout that depends on quantity of participants and etc. Moreover, each of this features has a different states. So, we decided to keep user flow's connections and add there a real wireframed screens to avoid confusions with devs in the future

Home Screen

Second “interesting” request was - “We want fully copy UI from left menu from IOS Finder, but place there our info & new blue icon set”. Unfortunately, it’s real challenge when people who are not familiar with design start doing design job.

So, we explained to our client all risks, possible conflicts in design code and with that in mind Bluemail has decide to take those risks and requested us to do as they want. As a result we got next screens where we did our best to give an appealing look to the product:

Summary

Despite it was challenging collaboration in terms of ultimate art direction from our client's side and lack of creative freedom, we designed the ultimate user experience with a simple and intuitive navigation across the whole product what allow +10M users successfully use it. Moreover, our app became #1 cross-platform email management application!
